Finally Friday

Good morning,

Well just a quick post for today, cause today is my day off and I have no kids and lots to do. I wanna get a workout in, maybe get a haircut, and then the best part of a day off, doing sushi with my Mum!!! So I think I am going to have to work on a new scrapbook page about some of my favorite little obsessions and possessions. I have to admit I have been a very bad crafter this week and have neglected some of my best acrylic and rubber friends. Plus I sure hope Cricut is going to talk to me too! LOL, only the cricut crafters will get that joke. And all of it is due to this little guy........

....now I knew I wanted one for certain obvious reasons. Cause as the ad goes "if you don't have an iphone you don't have an iphone!" And I always wondered the obsession about "the apps". But did not realize what I was missing out on by not having one. So needless to say I have been giving a lot of attention to this little guy. And learning as much as I can about him. I am hoping to get in my craft room on the weekend, maybe even download and use a craft app or two, lol. I hope you have not minded my non craft related app ( opps post!), and hope to have something papery and beautiful for you soon. Thanks for looking and hope to meet back here soon.
Thanks again,

TGIT

Good Morning,

Well some of you are more familiar with the TGIF, and this little saying is similar. Except this week even though it is a shorter week due to Victoria Day celebrations, I am very thankful for Thursday cause it is my Friday for this week. See with my job I get to schedule two Fridays a month to have off so that I can get errands and appointment done. And sometimes I am very lucky to have them fall when it is already a shorter week :)
Anyways I do have a card for you today that I meant to post earlier in the month but then it got lost on my husband laptop and I forgot to move it to the computer I usually post on. This card was for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day way back at the beginning of the month. It was inspired by a card I saw on youtube by cardcrazy09. She has some wonderfully inspiring videos that will help with anyone's mojo. Anyways hers for a a welcome baby card. And I just
tweaked it to fit for my Mother-in-law. So the regular cardstock is Michael's Recollections and the patterned paper is from CTMH and old paper pack I had stashed away. The scalloped circle was cut from Just Because cartridge and the gate with flowers were from the Bloom lite cartridge. It doesn't show up very well on the picture but I also made a small dot in the center of the scallops with my white gel pen. And the center of the flowers were pearls from the dollar store. The sentiment was a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's again. I hope you enjoyed the card I know my Mother-in-law appreciated it along with the visit from the grandkids and my husband on the day. I was with my own mother.
Thanks for checking in as always and hope to see you back here soon.

Hump Day

Hello again,
Well it is very nice to have the sun back even though it is only one day! I am hoping that maybe it will get to be more days as the weeks go on that we have sun, lol. Anyways due to the postal strike still not moving ahead I have another CCE card to show you that I have sent out this week. Not sure if you can tell but I have become very fond of the easel cards and their look. Do have to say though that I wonder if they are displayed as intended when the recipient gets them. Ok without further babble, this card was made with the CTMH stamp set of the month. Coloured with tombow markers and stamped in memento ink. The card stock is all Recollections. The embossing folder is one of Stampin Ups. The border punch is threading water by fiskars. And the sentiment was one that came in the set with the chairs. The white in though was from the dollar bin at Michaels. My husband really enjoyed this card, saying it looked very elegant, and that it was one of the nicest he has seen me done in the last couple of months. Maybe that means I have found my mojo again! I hope you enjoyed the card, and look forward to seeing what other things I have to show you all soon!
Take care,

Back to work we go!!!

Good Morning,

I do hope everyone has enjoyed the long weekend. Of course I am sure that everyone wishes it was warmer and drier out, but a long weekend is great appreciated anyway! There was the chance of a postal strike here in Canada so I was holding off on my latest CCE cards. According to the news they have delayed the date till the end of the week so my cards will be heading out tomorrow morning. So here is and easel card, for one of the ladies on my list. The paper was a mixture of Stampin Up and Recollections from Michaels. Not sure if you can see it from the picture but I used two different embossing folders. One is a Stampin Up folder of tulip borders and the other is the Sizzix Swiss Dots. The tulip was cut from the Bloom Lite Cricut cartridge. Using again a mixture of stampin up and recollections from Michaels. The stamp was one from the dollar bin at Michaels, and I also used my white gel pen for the stitching. The two ovals were cut from the George cartridge. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I hope the recipient does later this week. Take care and hope to see you back here soon.

Get Well Wishes

Good Morning,
Well another long rainy day ahead, but as promised I do have another card to show you. So my Aunt (the pretty lady on the left, and the other pretty lady is my Mother!) was putting away somethings in her kitchen cupboard and when she stepped down from her stool twisted, or thought she twisted her ankle. Turns out she has broken it and now has to wear a walking cast for about 2 months. So as the cardmakers oath says we will do, lol, I have made her a Get Well card. I know any excuse to make a card, lol. This one I used the stamp set from My Favorite Things, and I coloured in with my tombow markers. The paper for the mats were recollections from Michaels but the base is Stampin Up. The border on the bottom is treading water by fiskars. Not sure if you can see the sentiment but it says "Nobody knows the truffles I have seen!". Thought it was fitting. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Tomorrow will be another post cause I have to get out my cards for the CST. So hopefully we will see you back her tomorrow.
Thanks and take care,

Wordless Wednesday

Hello Everyone,
Not sure about anyone else but this rain is really getting me down! Not sure what has happened to my crafting mojo but I think it is getting washed away with the rain. Five days of rain does not make five kids under 5 or me a very happy person. Needless to say I even though I don't have much mojo left I do have a card I would like to show you. It was one I made for my mother for Mothers Day. The card was case'd from Gloria M on stamping with Beate. Have to say she is very talented and I have not done a card like this before, and it was super easy. I started off with a stampin up stamp and embossed it in clear embossing powder. The next step was to stamp the word stamp, also stampin up over the whole image. I did have to use a Kleenex to get the ink off of the embossed flowers. After that I used a sponge and added blue ink to the top and green to the bottom of the image. Then had to wipe off access ink from the image. The ribbon is Green Asparagus and the square paperclip is stampin up. Matted in a blue cardstock from recollections and the base was from stampin up and believe it is old olive. Hope you enjoyed this post and look for another tomorrow, I have to make a get well card for my aunt. But that is something I will tell you about tomorrow. As always thanks for looking and hope to see you back her soon.
Thanks

Thankfully Thursday

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have MIA, I really have been trying to get some reading done as well as spring cleaning, and most of all getting to the gym. But I have returned and have to say is anyone else thankful that this week is almost done. Is it just me or has it been a very long week so far?
Anyways I have two beautiful cards to show you from the latest Canadian Card Exchange group. There are some very talented ladies out there this month. The first one is one I received today by Irene. Looks like she has used some stampin up paper, and the stampin up dies.

Secondly we have Brenda who made a lovely card, I believe she said it was glimmer mist and a stencil for the design.

I feel very much in awe the wonderful talent that is out there and that I am very lucky to be included in a swap with these talented ladies. Also even though showing off my creations, and even getting around to sending them out to other people than my friends and family is a huge step out of my comfort zone I am very pleased that I have. And will be showing off my cards for the May addition of CCE. I hope everyone is having a good day and that will see you back here soon to preview my work.

Take Care and Thanks for stopping by,
