Fist Day of Summer Vacation

Well have to say for the first day of summer break the kids were super awesome well behaved. We even had to stay in the house this morning cause of the off and on rain showers.
Have to say the weekend was very good. Friday night we took Rosie to have some dinner and then a visit and few jobs done for my grandmother. Katie had a sleepover at a friends house so she was well taken care of.
Then Saturday was unbelievable! Great friends, good food, entertainment that was out of this world. Definitely a well deserved night on both Chris and mine part. Will have to make sure to plan a night out like that again soon!
On a side note dinner was at The Keg, and was fabulous. I had top sirloin steak and Chris had a filet Mignon. And oh darn we had to wait for our table so this is us at the bar having a quiet drink before everyone arrived.

A few nights ago I was in the basement with a deadline to get some party invitations done for a friends daughter. As well as the teachers needed a card made to thank them for all the wonderful work they do with and for our girls. So in total I was able to get 14 cards done. Man the paper, and adhesive were flying and what a great feeling it was. Here are the samples of the teachers cards and the birthday party invites.

The birthday party invites were made with my favorite toy, my cricut. And then my second favorite thing my Create a Critter cartridge. The stamps used were both Fiskars and Close To My Heart.
The papers used were a mixture of Stampin Up, Recollections from Michaels and not sure some no name patterned paper too.

This next one is my thank you cards for the teachers. I have to say the design was not mine I did CASE it from another blog and I really apologize to the person I am copying for not remembering your name and giving you the credit. This again was made with the Create a Critter cartridge and my cricut. The sentiment was stamped with the My Pink Stamper Stamps.
I hope you have enjoyed these and hope to see you back here real soon.
Thanks
Amy

Happy Hump Day

Good Morning, I hope everyone is having a great day. This morning we are staying in relaxing a bit till we can go to the park later, once the sand drys out a little. Thank goodness we have some balls and sesame street music on the ipod. The kids love dancing around to that, and they are very cute to watch. So I am really trying to get back on track with my weight watchers and with last weeks half pound loss I am even trying harder this week. On Monday I was at the gym and then also walked the dog, so that was good. Last night no so much didn't hit the gym cause first off Chris was going to go plus I wanted to wait till today to go again. Plus last night it was raining and honestly neither Winston or myself likes walking in the rain so we even skipped our walk. My tracking in my food log could be better. I am really good all day till dinner comes around and then with trying to get it ready and serving it and then also eating it while it is at least lukewarm, means that I forgot to track from dinner time on. And then I have a night like last night where I enjoyed a few boxed chocolates that Chris brought home from California. I did do good all day and really everyone deserves a treat. Anyways here is the picture of the nice pork tenderloin I marinated all day. Then cooked on the Foreman grill with baby corn on the cob and mashed potatoes, which are the girls favorite. And what is mashed potatoes without gravy!!
I also have this picture of a card I made on Monday night too. Katie and I had a coupon for Michaels for 20% my entire purchase along with sale and clearance items so I couldn't turn that down. Anyways I added a few of the $1.50 G Studio clear stamps in my cart and this was one of them. I am not sure if any of you use to play those games with your friends and family where you mouth the words "Elephant Shoe" or "Olive You" and it comes out looking like "I Love You". Well we always played those kind of games, and so that is where this card was inspired from. What a great saying and then inside it says thinking of you. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures and post. Hope to see you back here real soon.
Hugs

Happy Fathers Day

Just a quick post today to wish all the Dads out there a very nice relaxing day. My Dad is not in town with us so we will probably be visiting my father in law, (but don't worry Dad I will call). And Mum has your gift in some box I believe. I did want to post a picture of a fathers day card I had made. Originally a friend wanted me to make one but this one came out so cute, yet again I couldn't part with my creation. So I have posted it here so that it can be shared with many Dads. My husband's card I will post at a later date since he will be seeing some of these posts before they are officially published and really don't want him to have a sneak peek before the actual day.
Happy Fathers Days Dads you deserve it!
See you again real soon.

Welcome

Good afternoon and welcome to my first ever blog post!
Everyone has been telling me for awhile that it is super fun and easy to have a blog. And that really even if I don't enjoy it that I don't have to keep it up. I even went as far as to buy a book about starting and having a blog. Which I have been reading on and off, depending on how confident I felt about what things to say. Of course I figured that having a blog would encourage me to play with my craft supplies more. Allowing my family and friends to see what cards I have been making lately since I never seem to be able to part with my creations.
So why start now? Funny thing, I had a really good day with my daycare, felt really good about what I was doing and thought why not share that with friends and family. But lets be honest I couldn't call all of them and say " Hey I had a great day let me tell you about it!" Cause really people do have jobs and lives and can't take a few hours out of what they are doing just to hear me ramble on. But they might tomorrow, or the next day, or even a month from now. Plus who are we kidding I won't remember two weeks from now what made today so fantastic. But if I write it down here with all the excitement that I am feeling at this moment they can come back and share that with me again with the words I am writing now.
Another great reason to start now is, I am getting back on track with my Weight Watchers lifestyle change. Which includes increasing my visits to the gym and tracking my meals in a food diary. Hopefully by recording my achievements and posting the great meals we are eating, it will keep me motivated, to stick to my new healthy happy lifestyle too.
So there are the couple reasons why I am jumping happily on the blogging bandwagon. I am going to post as often as I can depending on what life is going to be throwing at me.
Well is is all for now hope to see you back here real soon.

School Performance

What fun it was to be able to walk to the school this morning and see Rosie sing in the Three Piggy Opera. Now of course this wasn't like the opera opera with high pitched fat ladies signing in a language we didn't understand. I would have called it more like a musical performance of the Three Little Pigs. I was so proud and pleased I was able to attend, even with the three little munchkins I had from the daycare. Everyone was so well behaved sitting and watching as the big bad wolf blew down the houses. Now at least I think that is what he was doing cause of course it was all in french, lol.

So here is a card I made her with my cricut and the Create a Critter cartridge thanking her and telling her how proud I was seeing her up there singing her little heart out. I am not sure what which company the patterned paper is from but I can tell you most of the cardstock is Stampin Up or the Recollections Paper from Michaels.
