Good Morning everyone.
March Break is finally over and I hope everyone had a great week. It has been crazy around here for the last couple of days, trying to cram as much fun into a few days as we could. I only had the last two days of the week off to spend with the girls. But thank goodness their Auntie Lori was able to join in on the fun. We had swimming, manicures, painting pottery, and walking around a museum on our agendas. I think it must have tired the kids out cause they slept really well, lol. So due to the excitement I have to admit my craft supplies were feeling neglected. So on Saturday I was able to get this simple yet beautiful, if I do say so myself, card done for a really nice lady, Norma. I was unable to find and print the handbook to the Floral Embellish cricut cartridge, and she was able to send me a link for it. Which then I could print it off. I think it came out really well. The flower of course was from floral embellish cricut cartridge and the paper was Michaels recollections. Now the card base is actually some Brazil cardstock that I had prefolded in my stash. Of course I used stickles to bling up the leaves and petals. And I used tombow adhesive and my xyron to adhere it all together. Oh and the flower is actually popped up on some pop dots I got from the dollar store. I hope you enjoy and am looking forward to getting back into my craft room. Have a great day and I hope the weather is nicer where you are, we are getting snow and can be up to 10cms.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pancake Tuesday

Good Morning everyone, I hope all is well in blog land. I am looking forward to having a night off from cooking. Because we have some very generous friends who every year offer to cook pancakes for us all. Now I have to admit even if we were not heading out for pancakes tonight that I would still have gotten the night off from cooking because in our house my husband is the "Pancake King". The girls do enjoy my pancakes but we all have to agree that he does make the best. Now I might be bias in this opinion cause of course it does mean I won't have to cook, lol!
I have just one card to show off which I have to say, is one of my favorites. My brother in law turns the big 40 on Saturday. He is not a big birthday person so we have respected his wishes not to really do anything for the day except send a card. The ice creams I have been told look like cupcakes on a plate, but I do believe that they are suppose to be ice cream scoops. Funny story cause this cut is of course done from my circut but the cartridge was very amusing. So Mum works at Michaels and called me to say that the cartridges were on sale for $49.00. So I said great we can share one if you like. Well in the end we decided that we could afford to buy 2 cartridges and share the cost. Since sharing the cost of a regular cartridge works out the same as buying them on sale. So we agreed we wanted Simply Charmed and Birthday Bash. Well there was some confusion on who was buying which cartridge cause in the end we had two Simply Charmed and no Birthday Bash. So I did end up before the sale was up going and getting Birthday Bash and so this is where the cut is from. The paper is recollections from michaels. The patterned paper, which I have to say works really well with this and will be used in a future scrapbook page that I have in mind and is from Me and My Big Ideas paper stack. The saying is a Stampin Up stamp from Sweet Scoops. The banner was cut from Everyday Paper Dolls. Of course used atg gun adhesive, dollar store pop dots and some stickles. Oh and used Stampin Up Basic Black ink. I hope you enjoy and hopefully if I get some crafting time today I will see you back here tomorrow.

Merry Monday

Oh my goodness what a wonderful day! I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was a little upsetting with some sad family news. But on the bright side I got tons of cleaning done. I know this means not as much crafting but the place I have to say is starting to look very nice. Even the girls are liking the look so hopefully that means they will make more of an effort to keep it this way, LOL. Plus the other happy news is that after the electrician being here for 2 hours this morning I can now run the dryer and the washer at the same time, yippee! Never thought I would be so happy to be able to do laundry, lol.
Just before this "spring cleaning bug" hit I was able to make a birthday card for a friend that needed to send it to her cousin's daughter. So here it is, paper is recollections by Michaels, the cut is from Paisley and the bling in the middle are just dollar store find. The happy birthday is a stamping up set, and the scalloped circle is a punch Marvy I believe. The ink is Stampin Up. The white mat is embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder that I have had forever.

I do have to say as much as I really like this card I think the next time I try to recreate it I might think about using an oval scalloped rather than the circle. But this looks like a great springy card that could have any sentiment on it. I hope you enjoyed this card. And will be looking forward to meeting you back here again soon. Thanks and take care.
