TGIF

Hello Everyone,
So as I am sitting down with my morning coffee and listening to the playful
giggles of the kids. I know I only have a few minutes before someone looks at someone else in the wrong way and a fight breaks out. So without further delay this is a card that I have made for a special lady, to let her know that she is in my thoughts. The stamp is Penny Johnson, the colouring is done with both copics and tombow markers. The ink I used to stamp the image is India Black. The scalloped circle under the image is quickuts, and the circle with the image is coluzzle. The ribbon is dollar store, and the designer paper is Michael's Recollections papered paper and the black is also Michael's Recollection. I hope you enjoy and have a fantastic day, and an uneventful weekend. I appreciate you all stopping by and checking in.

Just a few Thank you Cards

Good Morning,

Well I am feeling inspired after watching a few youtube videos with my morning coffee. But won't be able to get into my craft cave till the little ones are down for a nap. I do however have a few thank you cards to show you that I was asked to make for a friend. She will be giving them out from her business for her clients.

This card was stamped using a Stampin Up set called Just Believe, with stampin up markers. The papers are a combination of Stampin Up and Michaels Recollections. The punch is fiskars treading water, the ribbon and pop dots are dollar store. And as always I have also used my ATG gun.

This is also a Stampin Up set called Sweet Scoops. I have to say I did see this one on the Splitcoast Stampers site, but the artist's name
escapes me right now. The paper is Michaels brand. The ribbon is again dollar store find. The Thank you is from the same stamp set. And I used stickles to make the ice cream sparkle. The punch I used for the canopy was the word punch by Stampin Up as well. Pop dots are dollar store but did use my ATG gun to adhere the papers. The ink I used was also Stampin Up not sure if it is retired or not but was called Close to Cocoa.

Thanks again for looking, and hope that everyone is enjoying the shorter week.
Rubber Hugs

Thoughtful Tuesday

Good Morning,

Well hope everyone had a good weekend. I have to apologize cause this post was suppose to be done yesterday cause I was going to catch you all up from my weekend. Unfortunately I was busy on the weekend and some of the weekend jobs had to be moved to Monday jobs. So not time to blog.
Valentines Day was yesterday and I hope everyone had a good one. Have to say my hubby gave me quite the giggle. He has been good at doing it over the last 15 years every once in a while giving me a really good laugh. Well yesterday was no exception. I had as most women probably did, reminded him that Valentines Day was on Monday. And I guess a lot of men gave the same response " Yeah I know!" So it really didn't come to any surprise to me that the girls and I had cards and little something to show him that we loved him. And he had a surprised look on his face and said "Oh I didn't know we were doing something for today!" Of course I responded to that as I had reminded you it was today. Oh well I thought, the card from us said we both had given the girls the gift card for the book store. So the part that made me giggle came when he got up from dinner and was preparing to head to the bank, and I responded that he could just pick me up a Starbucks on his way back and we could call it even. But to my surprise he had gone to his computer and purchased and sent me an Amazon gift card so I could purchase books online for my kindle. So of course made me giggle to receive the email for it, and we had a good laugh that it is a good thing not all online purchases have to be delivered. Anyways that is my funny story for today hope it made you giggle too. And since this is a craft blog, I will add the cards I gave to the girls. The cards were made with the cricut, using create a critter, with recollections paper, action wobbles, punches for the scalloped circle and heart. The cutest googlie eyes with the lashes are purchased from Michaels also. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

Thank Goodness It Is Friday

Good Morning, I hope everyone is doing well. I just have a quick post today. Just to show off a few cards I did for a friend. She called me Wednesday night looking for 6 homemade thank you cards. Which is funny cause I have been trying to make a thank you card for my Aunt for having us this past weekend. Anyways here are two of the cards I have made for this friend. I like how them came out. Dry embossing is something I have not done in a long time. It has been so long could not find my light box so had to do it the old fashion way up against the window even. Not sure the company that I got the buttons from since I have them all in one big box sorted by colour. I used my liquid mono for adhering it. And the whole thing was stuck together by dollar store adhesive squares. The stamp was from Stampin Up the I Believe stamp set. The ink was Stampin Up as well. As always hope you enjoy, and have a wonderful weekend. I hope to have a post out on Monday to show you what I get done at the all day crop I am suppose to go too. Thanks.

Good Morning,

I am sorry I have been so unorganized with my posts. In fact I could not even think of a title for this post. My back is still bothering me so I have not been getting much of anything done this last week. I had a wonderful trip to see my Aunt in Brampton which seemed to help for a little, then of course back to work, which seems to have stalled any healing. Thinking I might have to see a doctor about it since it has been a week and doesn't seem to be getting better.
Now that I have updated you on me, I do have a card to show you. Rosie was at a birthday party last week and so here is the card I was able to make for the little boy. Very pleased with myself and the card cause I was able to us a wobble on it. Most of the papers were bought at Micheals and is either Recollections or one of those all occasions paper pack. Stickles of course were used on the candle wicks as well as the cheeks. Was probably not needed for a boys card, but it looked so nice. The die cut is one I did from the smiley card cartridge on my gypsy. I wish I had video'd it case the wobbles are really cool. And as always I did use my ATG gun to put the layers together. I hope you enjoy and have a good day. Woohoo Grey''s Anatomy is on today as well as Private Practice two of my favorite shows for a Thursday plus Big Bang Theory. Enjoy your Thursday. Thanks as always for looking.

Wicked Wednesday / Happy Ground Hog Day

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is keeping dry and warm today. We are in the mist of a winter storm and are expecting 15cms so the girls are even home from school. Unfortunately I am unable to help with the shovelling cause I have hurt my back, just a slipped disk again probably. But it is uncomfortable, and hey I dont mind an excuse for not shovelling, lol.
So as promised here is another card to show you today. Now this is one I made a while back and never got around to posting it. This was when I was on a kick of using what I had, especially all the stickers you get in scrapbook page kits. So all the paper I used in this card were Michaels recollection, the coloured pearls in the corners were just dollar store buys. The jar had the look of water by using my crystal effects from Stampin Up. The flowers were made with the quilling dies for the cuttlebug. I used score tape to keep the flowers together. The stem and jar were Stampin Up set, and the sticker was from a no name scrapbook page kit. Nice to have a springy looking card on such a miserable day. Hope the ground hog doesnt' see his shadow and Spring comes early. Maybe if we all start making Spring type cards it will come early. Have a good day and as always thanks for looking.
