TGIF

Hello Ladies,

Thanks goodness for sure that it is Friday. I am feeling a little tired today as it is, not only has it been a long week where I dont' have today off, I was also out last night shopping at a newly opened Michaels store where they gave us 20% off our entire order. And then had a chai tea latte at 830pm at night but then to burn off some of the caffeine I decided to finish up the 50 paper gift goodie bags for the girls classmates. I think they turned out pretty good. I did get them done about 1am in the morning and had just enough caffeine left in my body to start a loaf of bread in our bread machine to wake up to too. Had I been even smarter I would have skipped the bread and just loaded the coffee machine to start, lol. Oh well the girls faces lit up as they came down the starts and saw our dinning room table covered in little orange bags and these blue monsters staring at them. Well that is really all I wanted to say today and to show you the pictures, I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday and looks like we will have a sunny but cold walk for our last walk to the school. Have a great weekend and hope to catch everyone back here real soon.

Thanks for looking,

The Things That Make You Smile

Good Afternoon,

Well this is going to be a really quick post, cause I have tons to do this
afternoon in a very small napping window. So this morning I am a little tired from my all weekend ladies scrapbooking retreat. Which was really fun.We got some wonderful gifts from the organizers, and I will post these at the bottom of this post. But the reason I wanted to post is kind of funny. I know my lovely furry companion was a little mopey while I was gone this past weekend. So I expected him to be very happy to have me home. Well this morning he was happy but then he started to whine at the door to the basement stairs. Couldn't for the life of me figure it out. My first thought was oh no there must be an animal down there. So contacted my husband at work and asked him where the mouse traps were and what I should put in them, cause the dog was at the basement door and acting all weird. Well he said about putting peanut butter in the trap, but before doing that why not see if there is food down there or his toy or something like a candle left on first before jumping to the conclusion that it was an animal. Easy for him to say, I am the one that is not a big fan or rodents in our house or any kind of animal than the domestic ones we have. So I opened the door and of course Winston ( my Cocker- Spaniel) went running down there like he was running from a burning house. Well once I got down there this is what I found.
Apparently he felt the need to do some laundry, lol. So basically there is no
animals in my basement just a dog in the need of some household chores.
But seriously, for some reason he feels the need to jump into my dryer and
steal my dryer balls. You know the ones that looks like it could be a dog toy
all with little plastic spikes on it that are suppose to act like fleecy sheets
without the sheet part. Anyways this was something that gave me a
giggle and thought I would share. Hope everyone else had a wonderful
weekend and will be posting a few pics from me weekend later.
Take Care

Gotta Love Short Weeks

Well Good Morning,

I am not sure about anyone else but these are the mornings that make me wanna just stay in my pjs under the covers. It is funny cause one of the little guys I watch during the day wanted to come in his pjs one morning. Which thinking back now would have been a perfect for a day like today. It is dull and deary out. Raining overnight and the ground is still wet. Plus with a fall chill in the air. Oh well thinking when there is no chance I am going to have to walk to the school to pick up the girls is when we will have a pj day with our favorite stuffed animals and lots of cuddles and stories.
Now as most of you know fall and winter are not my favorite times of year. Sure we get more time to scrapbook and craft in the house plus the holidays are more fun in the fall and winter. Plus the added bonus of the kids back in school. And sure for those people out there that like to decorate their houses it is good too. Well in saying that I have to say I am very proud of my new addition for my dinning room table. I had been putting a lovely bowl of fruit (plastic, cause saves on the fruit flies) on it to keep the places looking neat and pretty. Which looks very good and health conscious to anyone that comes. Cause it looks like we have fruit in the house. Unfortunately the kids are thinking that they are good too and wanting to eat them and I am constantly saying that the grapes are not real and to get down off the table. So to make a short story long here is a picture of my new centerpiece.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Our family had a very lovely time at my sister and brother-in-laws house. The table was festively decorated and the turkey was very tender and delicious. I was very thankful there was leftovers that we were able to bring home. Again there I go making a short story long. I just wanted to give a little something for everyone at our table and show my sister and brother in-law that we appreciate them hosting so I made these little boxes for every ones place setting. Hope you enjoy. Have to say my husband enjoyed his so much he also enjoyed mine too!! As always thanks for looking and have a good day.

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Good Afternoon,

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful long weekend. And to my American friends that your Columbus Day has been uneventful and relaxing. We are just getting things together to head over to my sisters house to see them and other family members for a wonderful turkey "lupper". That is a combo for a lunch and dinner cause it will be served earlier in the day. Anyways I understand that the post didn't make it to everyone on time for the festivities so here is my Thanksgiving Day cards that I sent out that hopefully my family and friends will get on Tuesday. I am very thankful that we have family around us and that everyone is happy and healthy for the most part. My wish for today is that everyone has a good weekend and has the chance to enjoy those things they are thankful for in their lives.

Wacky Wednesday

Good Morning Everyone,

Well unfortunately it looks like it is also going to be a Wet Wednesday cause the clouds are moving in and we are suppose to be expecting 20mm of rain. Had I know this I would have saved my Thanksgiving Day craft for the kids for today rather than yesterday. Mind you it is always nice to have a quiet activity planned for when the baby is sleeping. Now some may think is she crazy painting with two three year old and two two year olds but really done in shifts and supervised painting worked out really well. I dont' think I had any paint on the floor or walls. Which makes for a very successful painting day, lol.

(As a side track for just a minute I have to say I love my job, when I have days like yesterday. All the kids were in a good mood. Everyone was pretty much healthy, meaning I wasn't running around blowing everyone's nose. The kids loved the craft and being able to glue and paint. And to top it when we had our circle time, read our books, and sang our favorite songs it warmed my heart to hear them laugh. Then at the end of the day when you have them give you a big hug, and say "Amy I lub you", you know that you have done a good job.)

Alright that was my little sucky moment, now on to the crafts. So I have this preschool book of songs, and stories and activities that I have been trying to use to be a little more pro-active in the kids learning. Or at least keep them from arguing and getting bored in the house from all the rainy cold days we have been having this past month. So since we are getting close to Thanksgiving I thought it would be fun to have the kids make a turkey to take home. Now I remember in school making the turkey out of a paper plate. But I wan't mine to be a bit different so I looked in my preschool activity book and found a toilet paper roll turkey. Using a traced image of the kids hands as the tail feathers. So we traced the kids hands and cut them out so the kids could decorate them with some watered down tempera paint. Then we glued them to the roll with some google eyes and a paper beak. Here is my sample along with the kids ones they made.

Now that I have shown off my preschoolers crafting abilities, I would like to show you a card that I have made to send off to my Great Aunt and Uncle in London England. This of course was made using my cricket, my ATG glue gun, Peachy Keen Stamps, some Michaels Recollection Paper,a stamp from Michaels dollar spot (sorry do not know manufacturer), and a piece of paper from the K&Company Halloween Paper Stack. Now I apologize if I have missed any other supplies because all my tools and supplies are well loved. I am hoping to get it in the mail tonight and that it gets to them by Halloween. Hope everyone enjoys and see you back here soon.
